Scott Township Firehall
The Problem
Scott Township Firehall's website hasn't seen a revamp in decades.
It was finally time to bring a more friendly user to the table that took accessibility into consideration. A modern design that was user-friendly was necessary to attract new volunteers and to engage community members more.
Research
After polling volunteer members of the firehall, there was a 90% agreement that the website needed redone.
The end goal is to design a music app that will enhance the user experience leading to increased user engagement, connection with other users, and overall retention.

Low-Fidelity
I connected the simple design together to make it a matrix model so that you could access any part of the website from any webpage. Since a large majority of the population was above 40, I decided that less was more. I wanted to make the text larger so that they could see it.
High-Fidelity
The low-fidelity proved to be mostly efficient in the usability study. One main thing to note that needed improvement was the "Events" page; too much text existed on the page. Users would rather see more images and less text. I kept the background simple so that the user was focused on the five different tabs across the whole website and to keep with the firehall's branding. Below you can see the change in the "Events" page, as well as the entire connections the website has.

With the usability studies in mind and going through several iterations, the final results can be seen below
